Happiness in the Workplace
Happiness is more than a state of being, for Mike Duffy, it’s a passion. Listen as Mike shares an acronym that he’s made up to help you achieve happiness in the workplace.
In terms of the workplace I like to use the acronym CAM. “C” for Choose to be Happy. What I always tell people is “don’t ever let anyone steal your happiness.” So you need to choose to be happy at work no matter what bad things are coming at you.
“A” Avoid Negative People. There’s negative Nancys all over this country and they want to dag you down to their level of unhappiness- don’t let them. “M” Make Friends. If you’re going to spend the majority of your waking hours at work, why not spend it with your friends. So make sure you go out with them after work, maybe for dinner or go to lunch with your friends, and don’t be afraid to make friends with your boss. Those folks need friends too, so that’s what I would advise.
