Bay Area CPA firm’s explosive growth prompts elevation of three Directors to Partner
status
FREMONT, California, June 27, 2007 – Greenstein, Rogoff, Olsen
& Co. LLP, one of the Bay Area’s top CPA firms, has announced the promotion
to Partner of Steven M. Singer, Hal H. Friedman, and Ronald H. Cohen.
Each was previously a Director with the firm.

 Steve Singer joined Greenstein,
Rogoff, Olsen & Co. in 2003 and has more than 26 years of experience in venture and corporate
finance, mergers and acquisitions, high net
worth individual, corporate and partnership taxation and strategic planning.
Prior to joining the firm, Steve was VP of Finance at a Silicon Valley software
firm and has served as CFO for numerous other high tech firms. Steve has served a variety
of industries including Venture Capital, venture backed technology companies and
wholesale distribution and manufacturing. Steve lives in Oakland and graduated from
UC Berkeley and holds his MS in Taxation from Golden Gate University.
Hal
Friedman has been a Director with Greenstein, Rogoff, Olsen & Co.
since 1991 and has worked as an attorney and tax professional in Silicon Valley
for the past 24 years. Hal’s background includes experience in all areas of taxation
including closely held corporation and their shareholders, individuals, expatriates
and non-resident aliens, and professional practices. Hal resides in Portola Valley.
Ron Cohen joined Greenstein, Rogoff,
Olsen & Co. in November 2006 and has more than 25 years of experience in public
accounting. Ron has extensive knowledge in international tax issues and has traveled
extensively throughout Europe and Asia managing tax issues for his clients. Prior
to joining the firm, Ron ran his own private tax practice and also served as a tax
director for a company with assets in excess of $2 billion. Ron lives in Fremont.
