MOREY GREENSTEIN, FOUNDING PARTNER, HONORED FOR OVER 51 YEARS IN ACCOUNTING INDUSTRY
 Fremont, CA - March 24, 2006 - Morey Greenstein, CPA and Founding Partner of Greenstein,
Rogoff, Olsen & Co. (GROCO) is celebrating over 51 years of service in the accounting
industry. Over half a century of dedicated, highly acclaimed leadership in a firm
touted for professional expertise in many areas including U.S., multi-state and
international
tax planning, preparation & compliance, business valuation services,
wealth preservation strategies for individuals and businesses, financial statement
preparation, estates and trusts,
stock options, and general financial planning for
businesses.
Born in Hampton, Iowa on November 28, 1929, Morey graduated from West Waterloo High
School in 1948 and attended the University of Iowa, graduating in 1952. Morey Greenstein
proudly served in the U.S. Air Force from 1952-1954. He settled in the Bay Area
and met Eleanor Louik at a Jewish youth group of Temple Sinai, Oakland. They married
on June 17, 1956. Morey and Eleanor will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary
this year.
Morey and Eleanor were blessed with three wonderful children: Mark Greenstein, CFO
of a venture capital firm, married to Renee Parker; Shane Greenstein, Professor
of Economics at Northwestern University, married to Ranna Rosenfield; and Jodi (Greenstein)
Weverka, a high school teacher at Piedmont High School, married to Phil. His eight
grandchildren, the loves of his life, include: Adam (11), Jenny (9), Noah (8), Rebeka
(7), Ilana (4), Eli (2), Jacob (13), and Hanna (10).
 At the beginning of his career, Morey worked for the accounting firm of Alexander
Grant until founding Greenstein, Rogoff, Olsen & Co. (GROCO) in 1964, one of
the first accounting practices in the city of Fremont.
GROCO expanded, establishing
an office in Palo Alto
to help serve the explosive growth of high technology and
venture capital businesses in Silicon Valley. GROCO currently serves a variety of
industries, including manufacturing, distribution, services, entertainment and financial
services with a staff of more than 35 seasoned employees.
Morey's leadership has established a tradition of providing only the highest quality
services to clients. A review administered by the California State Society of CPA's,
under the auspices of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants reported
GROCO's compliance with the highest standards of quality.
