FREMONT, California, March 15, 2007 – Greenstein Rogoff Olsen & Co. was
an Ivory sponsor of the 15th Annual Spring Celebration put on by Citizens for a
Better Community, held at the Newark/Fremont Hilton Hotel on Saturday, March 10th.
The event featured celebrity master chef Martin Yan who has a restaurant in Santa
Clara and supports many Asian/American organizations such as Citizens for a Better
Community in Fremont.
 The celebrated host of over
2,000 cooking shows broadcast world-wide, Martin Yan enjoys distinction as a certified
Master Chef, a highly respected food consultant, a cooking instructor and a prolific
author. Born in Guangzhou, China, to a restaurateur father and a mother who operated
a grocery store, Chef Yan now resides in Hillsborough, California, and has restaurants
in Santa Clara and Pleasant Hill.
Founded in 1992, Citizens for a Better Community (CBC) is a non-profit organization
that exists for the betterment of Chinese Americans in the Tri-Cities area and the
community at large. CBC’s mission is to initiate, sponsor and promote community
events which will affect the well being of Chinese Americans with an emphasis on
education, health, business and community involvement.
