GROCO Sponsors San Francisco Bay Area Council Boy Scouts of America 5th Annual Distinguished Citizens Dinner.
FREMONT, Calif., November 25, 2009 – Greenstein Rogoff Olsen & Co. is pleased to announce that they are a sponsor of this year’s 5th annual Distinguished Citizens Dinner, held by the San Francisco Bay Area Council, Boy Scouts of America. The event will be held on Thursday, December 3rd at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in San Francisco.
The financial goal for the event is $200,000. Proceeds will benefit the Boy Scouts of America’s Character Education program. This will provide both outdoor education and a character development program to more than 50,000 youth.
GROCO’s Managing Partner, Alan Olsen, stated, “It is a pleasure to support the Boy Scouts and their Character Education program to help the youth in our communities. They are our hope for the future.”
Chuck Smith, a recognized community leader and retired AT&T President, will be honored at the event. Since retiring from AT&T, Smith has continued to serve Scouting as a member of the Board for the Boy Scouts of America Nationally. He has made huge improvements in the culture and esprit de corps of the Boy Scouts while in these key leadership roles and has encouraged the character development work of the Boy Scouts of America for many years.
In addition to Chuck Smith’s attendance, Lloyd Dean, President and CEO of Catholic Healthcare West will be the featured keynote speaker while Kate Kelly of CBS New will act as Mistress of Ceremonies.
