DANVILLE DIRECTOR RECEIVES SAUL BRAVERMAN AWARD
Mary Kay Foss is singled out by the California Society of CPAs for her contributions to the accounting profession.
FREMONT, Calif., January 26, 2010 – Greenstein Rogoff Olsen & Co. is pleased to announce that Danville Director, Mary Kay Foss, is the recipient of the 2009 Saul Braverman Award from the California Society of CPAs (CalCPA). CalCPA’s Committee on Taxation presented this award to Foss for her exceptional contributions to the profession in the area of tax practice.

Foss has over thirty years of practical experience in advising clients on retirement, income and estate planning issues. She is a frequent lecturer for community, professional and business groups. Foss is an active participant with the California CPA Education Foundation. She has authored many articles for Accounting & Finance Publications, been a featured speaker for various CalCPA podcasts and continues to speak at numerous seminars and events. Currently, Foss is writing an article for the February/March issue of CalCPA Magazine.
Many organizations benefit from Foss’ insight. Within the year, she was quoted in Kiplinger Personal Finance, Financial Planning, Family Circle, Federal Tax Weekly by CCH and Ed Slott’s IRA Advisor magazines. Most recently, she did a radio interview, discussing Roth IRA Conversion, with Radio America for their Home & Family Finance Podcast.
Foss is a past chair of both the Estate Planning Committee and the Committee on Taxation of the CalCPA. Foss is also the past president of the Estate Planning Council of Diablo Valley, and the East Bay Chapter of the CalCPA. She is also a member of Danville Rotary and Treasurer of the Hospice of the East Bay Foundation.
