Tax Supervisor
Greenstein, Rogoff, Olsen & Co., LLP is seeking a CPA to serve as a Tax
Supervisor.
Job Purpose
Supervise other professionals in
completion of various tax services. Prepares tax returns
demonstrating an intermediate level of
expertise in one or more specialized areas of tax (e.g., individual taxation,
closely held businesses, partnerships, international, or estate planning).
Position Summary
A supervisor schedules and assigns
work, maintains budgets, and completes engagements on time and profitably. He
or she provides effective feedback to staff on engagements on methods of
improvement and efficiency. Supervisors demonstrate the ability to coordinate
and administer tax services for significant clients and have had experience in
preparing tax protests. They prepare rulings for clients, memoranda in
connection with requests for
technical advice
and write opinions on issues.
Key Responsibilities and Essential
Functions
- Prepares
various types of tax returns (individuals, closely held businesses,
partnerships, international, estate planning, etc.)
- Consults
with clients solving sophisticated problems in all areas of taxation, as
required by firm clients
- Supervises
staff
- Prepares tax
protests
- Conducts tax
research
- Sells add-on
services

Performs tax provision reviews.
Secondary Responsibilities

- Teaching/facilitating peer-to-peer learning
- Contributes
to staff personnel development and retention programs

- Supervision

Education and Experience

5-7 years of tax experience

CPA designation
-
Bachelors degree in accounting
(Master's degree preferred)
