Business Valuation Analyst
Greenstein, Rogoff, Olsen & Co., LLP is seeking a full-time business valuation analyst. This individual will directly support the business valuation team by managing and performing business valuation engagements. Types of valuation engagements include Stock Options (123R and 409A), Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs), Family Limited Partnerships (FLPs), Buy-Sell Agreements, Estate & Gift Taxes, Charitable Contributions, Marital Dissolutions, Mergers & Acquisitions and Transactions.
Responsibilities Include
- Working with clients to obtain the necessary information/data
- Analyzing the information/data received
- Determining the appropriate projections
- Assessing business risk
- Preparing drafts for client review
- Discussing results with clients
- Preparing written reports
- Supervising and mentoring staff
- Assisting in business development efforts
Qualifications / Requirements
- 5+ years business valuation or financial analyst experience
- Certification Required
- Working knowledge of basic valuation methodologies such as Capitalizing, Discounting,
Market Comparisons, Restated Net Worth, etc.
- Familiarity with various governing bodies, as they relate to valuation, such as
IRS, DOL, SEC, USPAP, AICPA, ASA, NACVA, etc.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong written & verbal communication skills
- Excellent working knowledge of Excel and Word
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, peers, and other
contacts
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Bachelors degree in finance, accounting or related field
